About Amal Abu Salima
Amal is married to Mohammed and they both have the cutest son, Kenan, who is only 5 years old. Throughout this genocide, Kenan has injured his leg, had eye infections, and was diagnosed with hepatitis. As a mom, Amal just wants to provide Kenan with safety and peace.
Even when they were struggling to get food and water, Amal and her husband were trying to help the children around their tent by raising funds to get schooling materials, so that her son and many other children can get a proper education through all this. She dreams of being able to teach Arabic to non-native speakers and start a restaurant in Belgium.
